Joe Adler is an American actor and director. His roles include the shows The Mentalist, Grey’s Anatomy, Twin Peaks, and Damnation (2017), and the films Prom (2011), The Maze Runner, The Bloodhound (2020), and The Greatest Beer Run Ever.

His maternal grandfather is theatre director, producer, and film and television actor Jerry Adler. Among his grandfather’s relatives are actors Jacob Pavlovich Adler, Stella Adler, and Luther Adler.

Joe’s maternal grandfather was born Jerome Elliott Adler (the son of Philip/Phillip Adler and Pauline Goldberg). Jerry was born in New York. Philip was born in New York, to Austrian Jewish parents, Louis Adler and Anna “Annie” Dienstag/Deinstag. Pauline was born in New York, to Russian Jewish parents, Michael Goldberg and Anna Levine.

Joe’s maternal grandmother was Dolores Parker (born Dolores Boo/Bove, the daughter of John William “Jack” Boo/Bove and Ida Steinberg). Dolores was born in New York, and was a model.
