Carice’s paternal grandfather was Taco Ben van Houten (the son of Hendrik Jan van Houten and Eppiena Harmina Drenth). Taco was born in Winschoten, Oldambt, Groningen, Netherlands. Hendrik was the son of Klaas van Houten and Anje Danhof. Eppiena was the daughter of Taco/Tako Drenth and Geertje Oosterveld.
