Daphne Willis is a versatile artist who, over the years, has experimented with roots-rock, pop, hip hop and electronic dance music. Whatever the genre, Daphne manages to shine as each track has been carefully crafted and laced with a raw honesty which makes her a truly compelling artist.
The songstress caught the eyes and ears of Sony/ATV Music Publishing early last year, which led to her signing a worldwide publishing agreement. Some of her songs have since been recorded by other artists and used in Commercial, Film and TV productions such as One Tree Hill, Empire and a Microsoft Ad Campaign. Additionally, she has co-written with artists such as Meghan Trainer, Hunter Davis, and John Oates (Hall&Oates).
Residing in Nashville, Daphne is best known for her viral single ‘Somebody’s Someone’. The heartfelt track, dedicated to anyone who knows addiction, mental illness, homelessness, or all of the above, has since garnered over 14 million views on Facebook.
Now, Daphne is back with her incredible new single, ‘Dopamine’. After announcing the song and performing an acoustic version on Facebook live earlier in the week, ‘Dopamine’ was officially released on Friday. The track grabs your attention instantly with a catchy melody before Daphne’s magical vocal kicks in. ‘Dopamine’ is both dreamy and edgy, as Daphne delivers with a captivating emotion. It’s clear that Daphne has laid her heart on the line for this song, and we love her for it.
