Valerie once addressed comments that she starves herself with an Instagram post explaining her approach to diet and fitness. "Based on comments I've received I want to tell you the following: (to read! 😁) ❌I DO NOT stand hunger. ❌ I DO NOT do diets. ❌I would NOT do anything that was against my well-being," she wrote. "FOOD and DIETS have never been part of my life. Since I was little, I was interested in understanding how the body worked, metabolism and how I can give you the best quality gasoline to have greater and better energy without limiting myself, without abstaining and without giving me a bad life. Unlike what many may think, I eat a lot," she continued. "Lightning diets are not healthy❌. They turn your body into a yo-yo. You go up and down fast and it's not good for your Health. Crazy diets are no good."

Valerie enjoys working out. "Ever since I was very young I've been exercising. I played football and basketball as a child. Growing up I learned to train and discovering that wonderful feeling that exercise and sport gave me I decided it had to be part of my daily life to always start with the best energy. For me it's not an effort, I ENJOY doing any physical activity from jogging to dancing," she revealed in the post.

You might be surprised to learn about Valerie's go-to type of food. "And most of the food I consume are carbs😱yup!. Carbs. What I eat the most is white rice como. Even breakfast with rice and I also eat it at night," she revealed.

"Like many women, I also suffer from anxiety but I understood that the less sugar enters my body the less anxiety I will have. So I dedicated myself to looking for sweets AND rich chocolates 🍫 that weren't so "fit" (as they call it these days. Note: not everything that is fit is good) that had no sugar but other type of natural sweeteners," she wrote.

Valerie also enjoys yoga. "Who goes down first ? 🤣 Us: 👆🏻👆🏻when we are told that couples relationships are a balance… Are we plugged in desc or offline?" she captioned a post of herself striking a pose with her significant other. "All types of yoga (including gentle or beginner styles) can enhance your strength, flexibility, and balance — important but often overlooked aspects of overall physical fitness and well-being. Yoga fosters better sleep, which helps prevent or improve a host of health conditions linked to heart health, including depression and obesity. Yoga also encourages slow, deep breathing, which helps lower blood pressure and heart rate. And over time, a regular yoga practice trains your nervous system to be less reactive during periods of stress. Chronic stress is a major contributor to heart disease and many other health conditions," says Harvard Health.
